I am opening my (first ever!) blog by choosing to talk about a successful recent case study, with myself designing a local new Irish brand; Mike’s BBQ.
Inspire printed the labels and support marketing material. At Inspire, one of our aims is to offer a one-stop shop for artisan, particularly local, food producers to launch their brands and develop their labels or packaging.
Back in October 2010, I was selected from a number of graphic designers by Mike and Lorraine Corocan (married couple; he hailing from Arizona, she from Dublin) of Mike’s BBQ, Spillers Lane, Clonakilty, Co. Cork to work with them on their new brand identity for an existing unique takeaway establishment and develop new packaging solutions for a future range of Mike’s BBQ products.
As well as creating a strong brand that can work in a takeaway/shop environment and on packaging and marketing material, I also needed to design the first product to be developed and launched into the shops, which was Mike’s BBQ sauce.
